I can't believe he is a senior and going to graduate already. So very proud of him my handsome, smart, funny and talented nephew.

This picture I took of my nephew with my phone the night of niece Mikayla's birthday dinner party. It is not of good quality but decided to edit it a little bit and this is the best that I could do. I know the coloring in his face isn't that right but had a hard time with trying to fix it on the way his head was facing plus I do not have the best editing programs in my laptop. The other editing programs that I usually use are in my desktop and I can't get into it right now. Oh well I liked the picture and wanted to fix it up a little better.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful, sweet and smart niece Mikayla. I can't believe she is a teenager already. She had a great birthday. We had a nice dinner at my sister's house. She made homemade minestrone soup with salad and garlic bread and I made the birthday cake. It is the choice of each of the kids what they want for their birthday dinner and Mikayla loves soup and salad. I'm still not feeling well and at this moment very dizzy and tired but I couldn't miss my niece's birthday! I wish her all the best today and everyday! Love her so much! xoxo

Hello October....

...and hello to the Flu! I woke up this morning with it. I felt something coming on for a couple of days. Hoping this Flu doesn't stick around too long. Been hitting the Vitamin C in full force and having hot tea and hot vegetable broth with garlic and cayenne pepper. Trying to rest but doesn't seem that I want to sleep too much. Maybe I should take a couple shots of whiskey to help knock me out...lol! Oh well anyways it sure was a pretty sunrise this morning after a rainy weekend.

Fireworks....

Tonight we lit off some fireworks and so did our neighbors/friends across the road. I called my sister who is also my neighbor up the road and told her to look out the side window with the kids and they had already been watching out the front for our neighbor/friends show so they got to get a double show. My nephew Riley was so excited. This weekend coming there is going to be fireworks to enjoy. I can't wait for that. That will be another post down the road. Until then tootles! Oh and I tried to capture some of it with my mobile phone camera and there it is!

Oh and sorry...

Sorry that my pictures have my names on it and things it is because although they might not mean anything to anyone else they mean something to me. I had a pretty picture of a sunset that I took back in March of this year and was stolen by a friend, yes a friend and never gave permission too and they used it and passed it off as their own. Not cool! It was a mobile upload and was pretty cool but seeing I couldn't put any lettering on it to make it known it is mine it was taken. That is the problem with internet...nothing is ever safe. We have mutual friends too and you would think that someone would have called that person out on it. Well I know different now and am keeping my guard up. I always it seems have to build walls when people who I think are for me use me or back stab me and just when I am ready to let my guard down.....*BOOM*. Well needless to say I have to build the walls higher.

The other day

I took this the other day at Beth’s Farm Market. It is a lovely place with an abundant amount of home grown and very fresh fruits and vegetables. They also make baked goods too! I love this place and it is opened until December so you know I will get my fill! :)

The other night I was in Camden and it was such a beautiful night. At sunset they set off a cannon and just not for that night but for every night. I took this picture and wanted to share it! :)

Happy Birthday to my nephew Kyle! Today he turned 15 years old. I just don't know where the time goes. He had a nice celebration tonight with family and friends,delicious food and cake. Happy Birthday!

Today is my nephew Riley's 4th birthday! It was such a nice time at my sister's house for his party. I made him a cake and it came out pretty cute. He received lots of nice gifts and had his choice of what he wanted for food. The goody bags were stuffed with all kinds of fun and yum! My niece Mikayla and her friend Rayahna made very neat looking party hats. There was quite a nice bunch there. I think by the way he was all smiles and all the excitement that he had a really fantastic day! xoxo

Another year has passed since you went away. Today is your birthday and a day near your passing. I went to the cemetery and it was such a beautiful day. I sang happy birthday to you and then looked down and found a four leaf clover by your headstone. I couldn't have asked for a better sign to let me know you were there and heard me, thank you. I also found two more four leaf clovers. One was by Papa's headstone and the other by Daddy's. It makes me want to think you all were there with me while I came to see you on your birthday. When my grandmother Hima passed away in May 1998, my cousin Jenness went to Finland on business so he couldn't make it to her funeral but had made it to her wake. I wish at that moment in time he could have taken me away to Finland, away from that pain of watching my grandmother die right before me taking her last breath and being her only surviving heir to take care of all the arrangements. She passed a day within her birthday. May is a bittersweet month for me. I try and make new and happy memories for this month of May. I have succeeded for the most but still there is pain. May to me is bittersweet and always will be. Spring is here and a new dawn will appear to lead me out of my despair once more but never closing that door. I wish to you all a very Happy May Day!

Had a Blast at the Jane's Addiction Concert

I have a set list that was given to me and a couple of guitar picks. They played to a sold out, packed house crowd. The energy in the State Theatre Saturday night was absolutely amazing, Jane's Addiction was amazing and really enjoyed their opening act Black Box Revelation too! I wish the night never ended but the memories will always be with me.

Spinach, tomatoes, garlic, olive oil over pasta. I love cooking and wish I took more pictures of what I have made in the past. I think I will take more pictures and post them here to share. I think of cooking as an art. I love every aspect of art and have been known to dabble in it in other things I enjoy doing too!
